...for all at CRUISEDOG TOWERS and the golf fest of the US Masters at Augusta. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rescue mission on the betting front as beer befogged, I realised 4 holes into the final round that Trevor Immelman was going to hold on for an amazing maiden major title win. All my winnings from horse racing on Thursday/Friday/Saturday had been invested and even though I had nothing to risk, I decided that I'd like to get my stakes back! In the end, it was anticlimax, as I had the first five at the top of the leaderboard 'running' for me. Still, I got to keep all my hard-earned horse race winnings from Thursday to Saturday!
For sheer personal endeavour and achievement, however, the plaudits must go to Forrest Stump and Rambo yesterday. As you might have noticed, (header pic) Forrest had a tremendous run in the London Marathon, and satisfyingly dipped under the 4 hour barrier for the first time. Rambo was also in action at Chagford yesterday, completing a 30 mile endurance test over harsh terrain, more details to follow.
They'll be present tonight at The Court Farm Inn, though both may be limping a bit! See you all then.
