It's all a blur.....
....have you seen this one? From left: Poacher, Trucker, Lark's Vomit, Bluebird, Catflap, (obscured?) and Honeydew.

Christmas Hash from mid 1980's
Kindly submitted by Winfield, the header picture was taken outside the Teignmouth Inn, Dawlish. Easily identified is Pottsie (bottom row - 2nd right) and Mad Melvin (slimline edition) far right. Back row in red and white stripes is Barnie.

Gotcha Migman! (centre)
But you did arrive rather late, didn't you? Apparently he made three (or four) extra pub stops before getting to the On Home.....John and Kerry are foreground and there's Hovel Annie on the right.

BOXING DAY 2007
Pretty sure I can top any Christmas (so far) you may have had. The emergency doctor has called today (not for me) and fingers crossed all will be well. Suffice it to say that I have finished two courses of antibiotics for bronchitis /chest infection and still have made no improvement...next step for me is a chest x-ray.....and I'm the healthiest in the house. The sick looking after the very sick.
Just got back from walking the Cruisedog....covered a mile and a quarter in 38 minutes.....gasping for breath and covered in sweat with several coughing fits.
So if ANY of you out there are feeling miserable about the presents you didn't get, feeling hung over, or just dissatisfied with the Christmas you're having....thank your lucky stars you weren't me!
I'm a real moaner, aren't I?

Christmas Eve 2007
Just got back from last minute shopping in my local Lidl. Expected parking mayhem, empty shelves and cursing shoppers but...remarkably had a trouble free run. Seemed just like a normal day but I suspect it will hot up a bit later.
In case I don't see you until the New Year, I sincerely wish you all a happy, peaceful and above all, a healthy Christmas.....something we all take for granted until illness strikes.
Very sorry I have been unable to do any Christmas cards this year and thanks ever so much to those who gave me a card, hopefully things will be better next year.
Quite an eventful year and we will be looking back on some of the highlights (and even the lowlights) over the Christmas period. This will be mainly for my own amusement as I know you will all have better things to be doing! Updates for the New Year will be posted and please check in case there are last minute changes.

SOAPY OVERALL WINNER!
It was VERY close but it was the red suspender belt that just tipped the balance in Soapy's favour!
Archangel, you were SO close! Now if you had been wearing a red.....
I don't suppose you want to wait until ...
tomorrow, do you? You are all just like little children who can't possibly wait for Christmas morning, I really don't know what to do with you...
Okay, you win. There can only be ONE overall winner, no messing about with second, third or that rubbish. At EXACTLY 10 pm (15 mins time) the picture of the winner will appear as the header.
Go and make a cuppa and contain your excitement......
SHORTLISTED EQUAL 10th
Rearender (dancing with Cap'n Birdseye) alias Che Guevara.....'rrrrrrrrrrrr! (Boys, you know how to translate that!)
ONE LEFT BUT THERE'S A....
big argument going on over this last outfit....hang on while I join in the fight....
SHORTLISTED NUMBER 9
Duncan (2nd left). Was it Richard Gere (An Officer and a Gentleman 1982) or Tom Cruise (Top Gun 1986) ? Whichever or whatever it was Duncan, I wish I could have worn it 20 years ago....I'd have had to beat 'em off with a baseball bat! Classy outfit.
SHORTLISTED NUMBER 8
Fallen Woman. A very colourful schoolgirl uniform and the scarlet perfectly matched her undoubted naughtiness!
ONLY THREE SHORTLIST LEFT
But I have to have a quick cuppa....look at the time below, I'll be back shortly....
SHORTLISTED NUMBER 7
Gobbler (left) looked so pretty I could have wrapped her up and taken her home for Christmas, beautiful outfit.
SHORTLISTED 5 and 6
Bobbiball's Johnny Reb, we both know this was a semi professional choice Bobs, but it really suited you and your character well: "Are you gonna pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie?" (The Outlaw Josey Wales 1976). Numbnuts as the Cardinal, a quality outfit John and very striking too!
SHORTLISTED NUMBER 4
Archangel. Undoubtedly the funniest outfit of the evening, Archangel mate, it was absolutely fabulous and you got my vote anyway!
SHORTLISTED 2 and 3
Bubbles outfit was great for pub commuting but not quite so good for dancing (brewed up very quickly) and Soapy....well this was visually stunning and the attention to detail was flawless.
Well we've seen most of the costumes...
...now, so who was the best? Before you all start shouting and squabbling (as usual) I will stamp my authority on proceedings. A panel of three anonymous (so there will be no revenge attacks) judges will decide. But first, let's have a shortlist of contenders to whet your appetites....
Tomorrow at The Carpenter's Arms
Just to let you know that Rambo's called the pub and there will be food available for everyone tomorrow and there's no need for pre booking. Poacher is laying the last trail in 2007 and it's hoped you can attend notwithstanding the awkward proximity to Christmas.
