Wedding pic 1
...enlarge and look about centre.....The much missed and long departed Dave Bick looking far too good in basque and little black jacket. This is why the 'Dave Bick Trophy' is for STYLE! (Wigwam)
Commercial break, but stay tuned as...
Pork Torpedo's and Hornie's (Gavin and Dawn) wedding pics from Nash Hash are upcoming at abouteee 10.30 pm....
Sampling report on Fursty Ferret...
Cruisedog can now report that the Fursty Ferret (with two mini bags of Quavers) rates a 7/10...slightly sharp at first, but as you progress past half way it seems to mellow and become quite acceptable...hic
I swear that's young Seagull, or....
..is the beer getting the better of me? And who's he holding, anyway? Isn't that Mr Pastry far right too?
I would have loved to see this...
...my mouth's watering from here! Many thanks to Wigwam for loaning these pics out to Cruisedog Towers...... got them all archived and will return them safely to you on Monday.
It made me guffaw anyway....
Heard this little gem on the radio this afternoon and the tears rolled down my cheeks....
An american woman was being interviewed and before they started the interview, her impressive CV was read out....University educated, worked for Price Waterhouse, gained a computing degree with distinctions....the list went on and I thought: "Okay, she's no dummy, get on with it..."
But right at the end and I'm SURE it wasn't meant to be funny.....the commentator rounded it off with: "...and her father is the upright bass player in the prison band...."
HAR HAR HAR ! (this Fursty Ferret aint that bad) The woman then came on to explain what a struggle it had been for her career having her father so cruelly incarcerated in one of America's high security prisons.
All totally wasted on me and I turned off the radio still laughing out loud....well, it sure 'made my day' anyway....
As you can see, it's sampling time...
And tonight's contenders are: Bishop's Finger 5.4 % abv, Fursty Ferret 4.4% abv, Innis & Gunn a whopping 6.6% abv and Badger Golden Glory 4.5% abv.....sorry ladies but this is men's talk and technical...so excuse us for just a mo.....
Had the Golden Glory before and it rates a so - so 6/10.....the Innis and Gunn will have to be tried last by virtue of its high abv destroying the old taste buds......so logic dictates that the Fursty Ferret is first up to be swiftly followed by the Bishop's Finger...come to think of it McWot, we've tried the Bishop before...was it at the Union Inn Moretonhampstead...or was that the ol' Black Sheep? Hmmmmmm... give you progress report on the 'sampling' as it progresses...

If you look VERY closely.....
...you'll see my baby Nile crocodile in the globe....vicious little critter, take your finger off and he's only two and a half inches long...could be in trouble when he gets to 16 feet and 500 pounds.....
The Penthouse Suite....
...is in an unholy mess and I haven't sat down all day/evening. Broke the tv Sky link whilst chucking out the cathode ray tube to move in my state of the art gear...so not best pleased...
However, it's beginning to look promising now and we will have some more archive pics for you to peruse over the weekend, so try not to be too disappointed at lack of material/entertainment today.

Later today will have more pics including Winfield's tragic downdown which ended badly and also Pork Torpedo's DD which was, as all anticipated, a doddle for the many times TVH3 Downdown Champion. See if I can get the software for airbrushing, red eye removal etc up and running.....
adios

Wait for it.....INCOMING!
Time to move on as we've got a....
..very busy schedule to keep.....still got LOADS of pics from last night but some of the pics (mainly the outdoor ones) will have to be 'doctored'....don't worry, I have the technology, I have the capability of making the world's first bionic man, Steve Austin will be that man...blast! Wrong speech...
Right said Fred......now for the run down to the Best Pic of 2007.....
Fraser and Sophie...
...see, I did remember, didn't I Catflap! Two of six virgin hashers present on the night....we must be doing something right.....they keep on coming, don't they!
"He's right you know, Teapot, it is a....
...mandatory downdown offence," says Wigwam after perusing TVH3's extensive 'Rules and Regulations' handbook.....
Thanks Blaster and Pottsie.....
the harriet on the left is 'Kinky'....so named for her hair, her clothes and also...you know what I mean! Very popular harriet, by all accounts....
There now follows...as soon as I've...
...got another cuppa...the sad saga of 'The mandatory Downdown'.... you're going to like it...not a lot, but you are goi....
"Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs..."
...thinks Arbie to whatever Mrs Doubthare is saying....good to see you back and well again, Arbie mate.....though my sympathy was somewhat tempered by the fact that you've just got back from a great skiing holiday in Austria! All right for some, lad...
"Now look what you've done...
...you've made our Soapy cry!" Says Bubbles to Migman.....well come on, what other caption could I put on?
The new landlord of the Ley Arms
is Stuart (above) . He and Suzy have recently taken over and encountered us lot on Monday. Very generously donated FOUR pints for the DD's AND put on a special hash buffet for us. That'll do nicely Stuart.....and I'll tell you what, we'll be back!
Sorry about last night (Monday)...
...as after Bobby had dropped me off, I did the usual chores (animals) and then settled down to put a few pics up before retiring. At the same time, I had a bet on the Cleveland / Miami game....I should have known that doing two things at the same time (whilst slightly the worse for wear) was a bad idea.... ... remember feeling a bit blurry and had the presence of mind to sign off with: "I'm sloshed."
The next thing I knew, it was 3.45 am and the TV and PC were still on......and I felt decidedly queasy....but felt much better when I looked at my Betfair page and saw that Cleveland had beaten Miami and I had won a bundle!
Well, anyway, we've got a VERY busy evening ahead with a lot of pics from last night PLUS the result s of the 'Pic of the year 2007' PLUS a mini report on the run and downdowns (specially for Cinderfella as he's been forcibly enlisted to do the words and needs a few pointers).
Watch out for the header: CRUISEDOG TOWERS IS NOW LIVE going up and we'll get the show on the road......any comments will be posted IMMEDIATELY....trust me. I'm an e...
