I am now recovering from....
....an absolutely exhausting Cheltenham NH Festival. The abandonment on Wednesday (high winds) meant that Thursday and Friday would have 10 and 9 races to make up the programme. The header pic is retained with no apology as it signifies the thrilling and record breaking exploit of INGLIS DREVER in winning the Stayers Hurdle for three years in a row.....'What has this got to do with the Hash' you might well say.....well, quite simply, as Wigwam is away for the next 3 weeks at InterHash, there is no one to keep CRUISEDOG in restraint and we will probably run riot with no immediate come back......BUT, my petulant penguins, I have compensation aplenty awaiting you, so stay tuned to this channel.....I am ready to rolllllll......

The header from hell........it surprised me too........INGLIS DREVER won the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham this afternoon for an unprecedented third time in a row.......you get the picture? A few of you will, suffice it to say, I have been celebrating a great day......sigh.....the caption for the above header pic is quite simply: 'The crowd rises to a great CHAMPION' ....sigh..... I've had a good day......

Not many people know that.......
...in the filming of the Italian Job a cameraman was killed filming too close to the minis test driving over the ramp and hitting the bricks......a stray flying brick hit him and he was killed instantly. When they re shot the scene, they used remote controlled cameras which in hind bloody sight they should have in the first place....

Ruddy hell!
Just scanned pics for this evening and have spotted the fatal f'f'fin flaw.......a flippin' smudge on the lens which seems to have appeared on all the pics! Will have to send in my Seraph Software to salvage what I can.......I don't know Sooty, what do you think Sweep?

Arbie and Wetfart are battling gallantly against gale force winds and driving rain squalls to lay our trail from the Old Thatched Inn at Bovey Tracey tonight.....but that's nothing new to them as they are veterans of that actually washed out hash from The Cleeve at Lustleigh. Grizzly hashers
Hi Bluebird,
A few of us did the Grizzly today! Here are a few pics, you may like to put a couple on the Blog.
There were representatives from all the local hashes. Those that are seen at TVH3 include: Myself, Rambo,Doris, Poacher, Forrest Stump, Archangel, Manpig, Aladin, Lurch, Tightarse, Roger the Cabin Boy, Henpecked (and his wife who runs with Ash Hash; "Free Range").
There may have been a few more that I didn't notice or have forgotten.
The Photos were taken by Miss Whiplash, Deep Seaman was there to welcome us across the Finish Line, Flying Focker and Painted Pussy were seen there too for a while.

Now you do know where The Thatched Inn is don't you? The bashers know it well, were there last Thursday for a curry night.......but for the rest of you 'Dolphin drunk' dummies, here's where it is....
Drive past The Dolphin on your left and turn into the car park about a 100 metres further along on your right, the Thatched Inn is right THERE adjacent to the car park....even an idiot can't miss it....but that doesn't mean much as we have a few on every hash........watching Zulu (1964) now for the 58th time.......see if you can spot the Zulu warrior wearing a modern day wrist watch!
Let's see what the best quotes are.......Michael Caine is favourite to supply the most.....surely...
