For the 'regular' returnees to this strange (I must admit, in my travels round literally thousands of world blogs, I have yet to encounter one like this) site, you have almost certainly deduced that the 'authors' of this Miss Adventure are mad as a Mad Hatter at a Mad Hatters Convention ... but for those idly curious browsers who stab their fingers to enter this dodgy domain, a few words of explanation. Originally, this was the Teign Valley Hash House Harriers blog and it contains (still) over 5000 photos and about 1000 video clips of our weekly hashes from November 2007. However, whiling away the time between Mondays, the site rapidly became clogged up with 'funnies' - to the irritation of some purist hashers. So, to keep all happy, I created the Greathashgod site (widget 'portal' link top left hand column) and reserved it (mainly) for hash material. Anything 'raunchy' is still kept for this site - trawl deep, DEEP inside to discover some examples ... What might clarify the situation for you non-hashers out there is that 'Bluebird' is my hash name - real name Jim Campbell - holder of two obscure world records - see right hand panel for one - and I am the proud owner to the title: Pillock of the Year - this being my sixth consecutive year ... enlightened? I thought not ... sigh

And now you can see the severe effect of the adverse Epsom camber ... Sea The Stars - a big horse - markedly drifts into the rail as he makes his final thrust to pick up clear leader Golden Sword. He's not really helped by Mick Kinane's right-handed whip action ... but no criticism of the pilot here - a superbly judged race. In retrospect, the slow early pace played into the hands of Sea The Stars whose stamina was not that severely tested on the day ... the winning time of 2 mins 36.74 secs being nearly one and a half seconds slower than the Oaks the previous day won by Sariska ... though the course had about 3 mm of rain overnight to ease the ground.
