Winfield says that I should get a.....
...light for the camcorder while shooting in dimly lit areas of the pub. It's a very good idea as unlike the built in flash for digital cameras, the camcorder (mine anyway) relies on a night setting which is poor. So on Monday at The Teign House I'll try for extra lighting. I'll try not to dazzle you too much!

Found the solution....
...simply select the 'weekly archive' and it's workable, showing 80 odd posts for each week. Click on previous weeks to access older blogs! For a minute then, I had myself worried. Cruisedog knew where the file was.....woof woof!
I've just spotted the f'fin fatal flaw folks...
You know the 230 something posts we put up in November? Well, they all disappear on the 1st of December. The posts are shown for a full month then are shown as 'November'. When you click on 'November' you have to wait for ALL 230 odd posts to load! If you are on dial up it will take literally hours to load!
So for the moment I have selected 'No archive' and you will have to go to the bottom of each page and click 'older posts' to get the previous page loaded etc. Meanwhile, in the Cruisedog Penthouse, I am searching for another solution.

Just talked to Pete at The Teign House....
...and there will be Red Rock Dark Ness 4.5 abv on Monday! Also Cottleigh 25, Jail Ale and probably Teignworthy Reel Ale. Pete's seeing Forrest this evening and there will be a hash menu thrashed out for us. Dark Ness is £2.40, Jail £2.45 and Cotleigh and Teignworthy £2.30. Nice prices. As mentioned before, this is a very Hash Friendly Pub, so good evening assured. Update you further over weekend.
It's ruddy miserable out, isn't it?
So spare a thought for Bin Bag Bob's Bashers Booze Cruise which sails from Plymouth this evening at 9.30 pm. It's a bit 'choppy' in the channel, but like most hashers, the intrepid bashers will have their priorities. Before the mooring ropes have been slipped, there will be a disorderly queue at the bar, bickering, barging and ready to get this booze cruise buzzin'.
Imagine the scene: the harsh grey dawn at Roscoff (not on many lists of 'have to see' destinations) it's chuckin' it down, you're feeling very unwell with the combination of budget booze and bog visits and now you have to get the bikes out of the hold for the cycle to Morlaix...... well, rather you than me Bobbiball... but Bobby just one more thing before you go....don't forget my booze order!

...but I wanted to draw your attention to Monday's Hash at The Teign House Inn. It's in the running for the On Down of the Year award. We've been there three times already this year I think and the hospitality / beer prices have been superb. Pete the landlord is extremely Hash friendly...very important when we visit a pub! I'll give you a list of real ales / prices and hash grub a bit later.
Thanks for the comment Smash! Strange isn't it, when you're tired / or just plain blotto, that you subconsciously write something and you don't know why? I had posted 'retire to my coffin' and Smash spotted the double- entendre of retire with Coffin! I'm supposed to spot things like that! I've been out double- entendred!
It's Thursday, so I'm off up The Devon Dumpling as usual. McWot's back and he'll be wanting to know wot's Wot, won't he? Any posts after this one (if Thursday) will be highly suspect.....

On Saturday 8th December it's Flowery Twats 40th Birthday! And he's going on a king ace bender, taking in as many Torquay bars as he can before he keels over (in the harbour, probably).
I'll get the exact timetable closer to the date, but Steve is suggesting kick off in Appleby's about 8 pm and be in Mojo's about 9 pm. All hashers more than welcome... keep you updated on this...

Very difficult shot of.....
...Winfield's heavily iced ankle after taking yet another fall somewhere out in the boondocks. Yes, you were very fortunate Dad, I for one was DESPERATE for nominations for my Checkin' Chicken, but knew you were 'on your limit' so looked elsewhere! I reckon you're going too flippin' fast Dad, that's why you're so accident prone! Slow down until it gets light again!

First night at the proms.....
....as the 2007/2008 Mismanagement took over. Teapot was supported by the new assistant RA Mouldy Dick and Pottsie did a singalong with Migman the Hash Songmaster. There was a naming: 'Eager Beaver'. Sheila had appeared on the hash once before and had had a downdown then, so the name was a natural. She brought along Mel, Jackie and young Thomas. There were a few other faces I didn't recognise as well and it was difficult to approach and find out more, such was the crush and flow of the packed out Dolphin. The 'Party Hash' certainly lived up to its name last night and if unabated bustling, raucous gaiety was not your thing, you were on the wrong hash!
The draw of course was Twiggy - a most popular TVH3 Harriet. With over 570 runs to her credit, Twiggy remains one of our stalwarts. As well as looking the business (see main picture) the cake tasted as good, disappearing rapidly before the onslaught of ravenous hashers.
The trail was laid by our Soapy and Bubbles - soon back in harness after their gargantuan trek around our coastline. The trail was, as usual for them, well marked and obviously thought out.
Not that I saw all of their trail, however, as I stubbornly continued through an early cross / false trail and subsequently lost contact with the pack. The walkie talkies that Bobbiball and myself were packing, proved invaluable (to me) as Bobby talked me back towards the direction of the trail.

A brilliant night for Twiggy's birthday hash
Sixty plus hashers turned up for Twiggy's hash from The Dolphin, Bovey Tracey and were treated to rare entertainment with a hash laid by Soapy and Bubbles and newcomers galore. The atmosphere was great and The Mismanagement were in top form. More later when I've sobered up. I'll probably cringe when I read this in the harsh reality of day! I'll hit you with a couple of pics, but rest assured, I'll be back for a comprehensive coverage later....

Twiggy's birthday hash tonight
She's been celebrating all weekend and the party continues tonight at The Dolphin, Bovey Tracey.
Soapy and Bubbles have laid the trail (hopefully) as Twiggy has been so busy. There will be pics posted before I go to bed tonight/tomorrow morning. So if you are night owls like me, you'll see them before the light comes up and I have closed my coffin lid. There is only one snag......Bobby is driving, so I might be a little.....you know what I mean!
