Chamonix - Videos - North Face Ultra Trail 2008

Started 5:30 pm our time ... Rambo is at this very moment en route ... didn't think it was such a massive event! You've got to be patient with the PR trailer ... the actual start is 4 mins and 20 secs into the video! I could chop it down, but it takes time ...

Tinkley Mon Aug 25th: At last a well-earned rest ...

... for a job very well done at the 1234 ... Mouldy Dick with Wicky alongside ...

Cinders 1234: Remember, this was ...

... the 1,234th Run Weekend for TVH3 and the entry was limited to 123.4 hashers ... so ... meet the Point Four ... Just think how many times William will have to explain his naming for decades to come ...

Cinders 1234: Up for a naming ...

... Sparkie and Gobbler's young William ...

Cinders 1234: Through a light tan haze ...

... I can discern (that's a good word) Radiohead (4th left) still 'ere and pitching ... good boy, I knew you'd last the distance ... hic ...

Cinders 1234: The Beer Wagon is STILL ...

... open for business ... with one of its most ardent customers availing himself to another ... and another ... and ...

Broken Man 1234: Able's either getting ...

... tearful at the thought of it all nearly being over - or she's pickled ...

Broken Man 1234: Hey Catflap you never ...

... told me that you had a PVC waitress outfit ... borrowed mine from Flossie (don't worry, Flossie, it's safe) and as it was a size 8 - YES EIGHT! - I had tremendous difficulty zipping it up ...

Broken Man 1234: Why do I never get ...

... a script with some pics! Well, you know, don't you and you might want it for your scrapbook ...

Broken Man 1234: Artist's impression:

entitled 'About to P**s Down' ...

Broken Man 1234: Wigwam and cucumber ...

... it must be some sort of dubious competition that hashers have (regularly) ...

Broken Man 1234: Utter Buttocks from ...

... Milton Keynes having fun in style ...

Cinders 1234: Prize time? Honeydew ...

... applauds Miss Whiplash and Magnificent Mavis ...

Cinders 1234: Looks very much like TEAM USA ...

... BUT ... did they win, come 2nd, 3rd or last? Tell me someone ... the not knowing is terrible!

Cinders 1234: Think I'm the ONLY one ...

... who doesn't know what this pic is all about! Stop reading NOW ... if you've got a delicate constitution ... far left of plate is a knotted condom and far right is a manky looking fish ... the label reads: Devon Ice Cream ... shudder ...

Cinders 1234: Hash Olympics continue ...

... with the wheelie-barrow sprint ...

Tinkley: Weary weekend warriors ...

... wander forlornly ... clearly operating under impulse power only ... from left: JJ, Mouldy, Able and Wiggers ...

Tinkley: On hearing the news of ...

... Poacher's tragic demise, Mouldy Dick shrugs and says: "Well, that's showbiz for you..."

Tinkley: It's a sad end to such a ...

... promising career ... Farmer Forrest attends the stricken Poach and is about to present him with the bill for repairing the gate ... sigh

Tinkley: "What the hell happened there?"

... utters a clearly distraught and disoriented Poach ...

Tinkley: It's a very sad stawry ...

... Poacher has attempted his flying gate vault only to have the gate collapse immediately beneath him! But such was Poach's momentum, that after two and a half somersaults (with pike) complete forward SPLAT on the ground, followed by four forward rolls - and Poach ends up way over there ... sigh

Tinkley: That there gate wuz standing ...

... a moment ago ... what has happened, Harry?

Now you remember this one ...

... don't you? Poacher sails over the gate magnificently ... BUT there can be problems with this technique ...

Tinkley: At last, the Tinkley Hash ...

... gets underway ... Poacher is about 30 seconds away from doom ... wave goodbye to him ...

Wednesday report

Wed 27th Aug ... exactly 50 posts today and the spam robot got me on the very last one! I've never known so many hashers on the site the past three days, you've eclipsed the international visitors ... still plenty more 1234 W/E to come and of course more Tinkley Mon 25th Hash, but if you'll forgive me, I'm off for a well-deserved cuppa now ...
